Do you provide linen and towels?
- We supply all the linen and blankets for the beds.
- We supply towels, bath mat, shower curtain and hand towels.
- We supply beach towels free to our guests. Please ask at reception.
Are the apartments air-conditioned?
Yes, all the apartments have air-conditioners. We also have ceiling fans in all our apartments.
How far is it from CitySider to the Cairns Esplanade?
It is approximately a 13minute walk.
How far is it from CitySider to the Cairns Central Shopping Centre?
It is approximately a 13minute walk.
Can I hire baby equipment (for example; cot, high chair, pram)?
Yes. We have a locally family owned business that supplies baby equipment directly to CitySider.
What do you supply in the apartment?
We provide a starter pack of…
- Coffee, sugar, tea and milk
- Dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder, sponge, garbage bags
- Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap
- 2 rolls of toilet paper
As we are a self-contained apartment, additional supplies can be purchased from our local supermarket.
How can I pay for my accommodation?
We can accept payment via:
- Credit Card (Visa – Mastercard) – a 1.5% surcharge applies to all credit cards payments.
- International Credit Card, including union pay – a 1.5% surcharge applies to all credit card payments.
- Debit Card – a 0.5% fee on all debit cards will apply.
- Direct Debit – you can pay directly into our trust account, this option is fee free.
- Cash – you can pay with cash on the day of arrival this option is fee free.
- All payments are transacted in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Does CitySider holiday apartments run parallel to the historic Kuranda Rail Line?
Yes we do. The Rail Line was built more than 120 years ago and provides a spectacular 1-hour 30minute scenic journey between Cairns and Kuranda via the mountainous walls of the Baron Gorge National Park through hand carved solid granite rock tunnels, and past tumbling rainforest waterfalls.
You will hear the train cruise past City Sider four times a day at approximately 8.30am, 9.30am, 4.30pm and 5.30pm. The train blows its whistle as it passes by our apartments.
Children rush out to see the train and wave to the driver and passengers as it glides by our complex.
Do I need to clean the apartment before I leave?
Prior to your departure please attend to the following:
- Wash all dishes, pots and pans and put them away (dishes must be clean prior to putting them away).
- Place all rubbish in the skip bin provided.
- A cleaning surcharge of $50.00 will apply if the above is not attended to prior to departure.
Is the pool a salt water pool?
Yes. Our pool is a non-heated salt water pool.
Are the apartments non-smoking?
Smoking is not permitted in the apartments and if smoke is detected there will be extra charges for cleaning and deodorizing of the apartment, however you may smoke on the balcony with the doors firmly closed to ensure that there is no smoke wafting into the apartment.
CitySider Cancellation Policy
- No cancellation fee applies if you cancel 8 days or more prior to date of arrival.
- 100% of the accommodation fee is charged if you cancel within 7 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date.
- Early departures and a non-arrival incur the full accommodation charge.
- To secure a booking request we require a 1-night stay deposit and balance payable on arrival.
